The grandson of Sir Herbert Samuel visited the Museum in August 2003 during the events of the 'Live Museum'. Professor David Samuel participated in a special event that recreated the days of the British Mandate in Jerusalem when his grandfather was High Commissioner.
 

Dreaming of Tattoos - The Guru of Tattoos - Henk Schiffmacher, Amsterdam, Holland had always dreamed of adding the 'Jerusalem Tattoo' to his collection. In 2002, during his visit to Jerusalem for the opening of the exhibition 'Body Lines' at the Tower of David Museum, he finally met with the Razzouk Family of the Old City who for generations have been tattooing pilgrims with the Jerusalem Tattoo.
 

Spiderman saves the princess in the Citadel! In 1996, Spiderman rappelled down the walls of the citadel in front of hundreds of children from all over the country in an event that captured the imagination of all that watched …
 
A writer's visit. Umberto Eco (of 'The Name of the Rose' fame) visited the Museum in 1994 during the exhibition Local Goddesses. His visit was detailed in the Italian magazine Expresso.
 

A Guinness Book record at the Tower of David Museum! Jewish and Arab youth spent two hours painting the longest picture in the world. The picture run for 0.5 km around the courtyard of the citadel beating the previous record of only 120 meters. (1993)
 
 

The Tower of David goes Pink! In October 2002, the Tower of David was lit up in a spectrum of pink spotlights as part of a worldwide campaign for awareness of breast cancer ran by Estee Lauder. The Tower of David Museum was chosen as one of 200 other prominent and important sites in the world.

 

The Rebels (Ha Mordim) amongst other celebrities who visited the Tower of David during the years, this year (2004) arrived The Rebels (Ha Mordim) – stars of the famous TV program. The young celebrities which arrived for a secret visit in the museum were escorted by a large team of body guards…
 
World-breaking record of visitors to exhibition! Over a million visitors came to the Tower of David Museum in 2000 to see Chihuly's Glass exhibition making it the most popular temporary exhibition for the millennium year. The statistics were published in the Art Newspaper.
 

David's Coverup! The municipality of Florence offered a copy of Michelangelo's David as a present to Jerusalem marking the 3000-year anniversary of the city (in 1995). The municipality of Jerusalem, however, refused the present on the grounds of modesty - and so instead a more modest, clothed David arrived in Jerusalem - that of the artist Verrocchio.
 
Important Royal Discovery at the Museum. During the archaeological excavations of the Kishle in the grounds of the Tower of David Museum, remains from King Herod's palace were found.
